1. What type of enterprise system will you utilize to track current and former customers, and what types of information will you store?
There are many types of enterprise systems that can be used to track current and former customers. For example, customer relations management (CRM) systems could be used for these purposes. However, because this is an enterprise software needed based on the kind of data collected including inventory data, customers base data, finance and operations data, an ERP systems is recommendable (Azoumana, 2013). The ERP systems would be an enterprise-wide information system that would coordinate all the information, resources, and activities of an organization that supports and completes the companys business process (Boomer Consulting, Inc., 2017). The company would collect data for all functions from manufacturing, to supply chains, Financials data, human resources data, and customer relationships data in a single database
2. How will you utilize social media to reach your existing or new customers?
The social media is an essential tool for customer relationships management. For example, the social media would be used to answers past customers and current customers queries, recommend new solutions and promote new products (Dantes & Hasibuan, 2010). The company can also use the social media to deliver a targeted advertisement and messages to specific clients, collect data from customers that would be useful in customizing their orders. The company can keep constant communication with the clients by sending them direct private messages or commenting on their walls, tracking their activities and sending hem birthday gifts as a way of engaging them. Therefore, the social media is the best tools for marketing communication with the customers.
3. What benefits will your business receive from using a BI system?
The business intelligence systems would be beneficial to the business because the company would be able to collect data and carry out advanced analytics in real time. The company can get predictive views of its business operation based on historical and current data (Azoumana, 2013). Through the business intelligence systems, the company would collect data from employees and external stakeholders such as customers from different sources such as social media, and an online survey (Boomer Consulting, Inc., 2017). Both structured and unstructured data can be analyzed in real time to provide information necessary for better business decision making, optimize internal processes and increase operational efficiencies.
