From a personal perspective, reading is my topic of interest, and I consider it essential to my life. This is because it is fundamental to my functioning in the todays society as it is a critical skill that can help an individual get a good job. For example, most of the jobs that are well-paying require that reading must be part of job performance since several memos and reports must be attended to through reading (Job & Coleman, 2016). Besides, excellent reading skills have helped in reducing the amount of time that it often took me in absorbing and reacting within the workplace. Moreover, an individual is unlimited in what he accomplishes so long as he has comprehension and excellent reading skills.
Additionally, reading acts as my communication tool. When communicating through reading, I am capable of understanding more, and hence engaging in better communication with people. With reading, I will have the knowledge to share as well as have an understanding of what is being shared by people. Moreover, it helps me in building a more solid foundation for communication. Reading is among the most crucial tools that I use on a daily basis for connecting with one another as well as the world.
Importantly, reading has helped in boosting my creativity and imagination. This is because it exposes people to an imagination world by showing them that in this world nothing is impossible (Job & Coleman, 2016). Through reading, I can explore a different angle for seeing something I have known, on how various actions results in different outcomes.
Key Words and their Importance
The search engine optimization keywords are the phrase within the web content that helps in making it possible for people in finding specific information through search engines including the information related to the importance of reading (Gennaro, 2015). Keywords are very crucial as they help with the searches as they can be typed into a search engines search box including Google for finding websites that match what is being looked for, particularly those related to reading and its importance. Furthermore, keywords help in finding texts that are related to education through some free online tools, such as Word-tracker as well as Google Keyword Research.
Additionally, keywords help in searches as they can help an individual get started in searching the relevant information regarding reading (Gennaro, 2015). They also assist in getting significant insights concerning the number of users who have searched similar keywords as well as the amount of online competition for the same keyword.
Keywords Used for Searches
Some of the keywords were used for searches such as how reading helps in improving communication skills. This keyword helped in finding other relevant information regarding "reading" as a whole as it unpacked various questions as well as answer choices for analyzing and determining the best information out of several related information (Gennaro, 2015).
Also, importance of reading was as well used as the keyword to find why reading is a personal choice of interest. As a result, it helped in achieving meta-comprehension as the capability of monitoring the understanding of various texts concerning the role played by reading in an individuals life.
Search Limiters
Search limiters, also known as Filters are the powerful means for focusing an individuals search outcomes so that one does not necessarily have to look through many of unnecessary items for finding what is being looked for (Dempsey & Valenti, 2016). For instance, several databases comprise of elements that are in foreign language. If an individual only wants videos, books, or even other material types related to "reading" in education, then such an individual is free to limit his/her searches that way to obtain the desired outcome.
Moreover, limiters are used for narrowing the focus of my search so that the information I retrieve regarding reading from the database I search is limited in accordance with the selected values of my choice. Besides, several limiters can be used if there is more than one limiter available (Dempsey & Valenti, 2016). Also, I can do my search using the limiters located in the Advanced Search Screen without necessarily entering a search term within the Find field.
Search Limiters Used for Searches
Various types of search limiters were used for imposing precise controls on the outcome of the search for producing a more precisely smaller result focused on reading as a topic in education. First, article type was used for restricting the outcome to particular types of articles including book reviews and article reviews. Second, newspaper section limiter was used to limit the outcome to a specific section of the newspaper, such as opinion and editorial, arts and entertainment, as well as regional news (Dempsey & Valenti, 2016).
Documents with full texts were as well used as search limiters to limit the search results for including only those materials with complete texts, therefore eliminating the abstract-only and citation-only articles. Finally, peer-reviewed publications were used to restrict the search outcome only to comprise the articles from peer-reviewed publications (Dempsey & Valenti, 2016).
Peer-Reviewed and its Importance in Research
Peer-reviewed is the scholarly works that have been evaluated by one or more individuals of the same competence to those who produce the work (peers). Peer-reviewed plays a significant role in research, particularly during searches. During research, peer-reviewed helps in subjecting the methods of research as well as findings to the scrutiny of other expert individuals within the same field (McCarthy & McCarthy, 2017). Besides, peer-reviewed assists in preventing the spreading of unwarranted claims, personal views, irrelevant findings, and unacceptable interpretations. This is because it primarily relies on researchers who have reviewed other peoples work as well as making an informed decision concerning whether the work is legitimate or not to be used for the research topic.
Additionally, peer-reviewed allows for the diversity of opinions regarding reading to be included in the research report. As a result, it theoretically helps in eliminating any pre-set ideas and personal biases from various reviews.
What is Learned from Two of the Suggested Library Resources
Research and the library resources are not mutually exclusive but are interrelated. Tomlin, Tewell, Mullins and Dent (2017) posit that lack of library resources cannot result in good research outcome. It is because library resources help in providing the required materials, literature, information, and data for the research. Moreover, they provide research resources and facilities to researchers in addition to rendering services of technical information regarding the research topic. Importantly, library resources contain the collected and collated information from various sources on the underlying issue for informing the researchers on the existing works for the issue.
Finally, Tomlin, Tewell, Mullins and Dent (2017) also note that library resources assist in obtaining a comprehensive collection of various materials that contain the subject of reading in the context of education for meeting the needs of information for the underlying research. They include journals, reference works, microforms, books, newspapers, dissertations, theses, internet sources, as well as bibliographic databases.
