In his address to the State of Union, President Donald Trump highlighted his accomplishments in his first year in office. President Trump indicates that from the time of the election, his administration has managed to provide 2.4 million employment opportunities and an increment in the number of wages. Hispanic and African American population are the most unemployed, which trump contends that his administration has reduced efficiently. Concerning tax cuts, president Donald Trump claims that his government enacted the most significant tax refers and cuts in the history of the nation. That the tax cuts provided relief for small businesses and the middle class. Furthermore, the president stated that the stock market has risen and that there have been tax bonuses. Among other accomplishments claims, president trump noted that his administration had ended the war on American energy and clean coal. President trump's government indicated that it had eradicated regulations in its first year in office in a bid to ensure accountability from Washington. Additionally, America had done away with unfair trade deals, built an empire state building and that they had defeated Isis terrorist group. Trump claims that the open borders have paved the way for gangs and drugs to move into the United States of America. The president also indicated that his administration had provided an immigration system which is based on merit and that they are continuing the war on drugs.

Personal Perspective

The jobs created by trump's administration in his first year in office is the lowest in the history of America, and the rise of wages had already taken shape even before his election. The claims on the employment of African Americans and Hispanics are not valid because there is little a president can do to influence the economy. Unemployment has declined since the times of President Barack Obama. In addition, the tax cuts are not the biggest in the history of the country because, in 1981, Ronald Reagan signed one of 2.89% of the gross domestic product. For the record, the stock market in trump's first year is booming, but it is not the economy and has no effect on the inequality of growth and marginal wage gains. The United States of America owing to the boom of natural gas has established itself as a global energy power in the last 15 years. This success undermines the efforts of trump to salvage the industry, and this is impounded by the fact that production and coal jobs have reduced for a long time. President Donald Trump has attempted to resurrect the fading fortunes of the coal industry. Regulations are formed from the messy process of budgets, rule-making, Congress and court cases, and Trump has withdrawn compared to his predecessors such as Obama and Bill Clinton. Concerning trade, the trump administration has successfully abandoned the Trans-Pacific Partnerships that is a success.

Social, Economic and Political Issues

The social issues emerging from this speech include unemployment, crime and drug abuse which have affected many people in America. Immigration is also a major social issue which the Trump administrations aims to effectively contain. The economic issues presented in this address on the State of the Union include tax cuts and bonuses, stock market exchange and the creation of employment. Finally, the political issues presented in this address include issuance of visa, war on energy and drugs, and the formation of regulations.
