Marco Rubio became the senator of Florida from the year 2010. He was later reelected to the office in 2016.Marco was born by urban Cuban immigrant in the state of Florida in the year 1971. He graduated from the University of Florida and later studied law degree at the University of Miami. Rubio was voted to the Florida House Representative in the year 1999 before campaigning for the Senate in 2009. The analysis shows that Rubio is an average Republican thus he can vote with the Republican, a party on the vote of the majority.
He is known as the most influential senator due to his accomplishments. Firstly, he led into the reformation of the state government via the collection of ideas from Florida residents. Secondly, he lobbied for the tax reforms and instituting an increase in sale tax. His success in overthrowing the former Florida governor and republican for the Senate seat raised his recognition across America. Thirdly, he led into crafting Border Security, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Act of 2013.In the year 2016, he joined the race to run for USA presidency under Republican although he lost to Donald Trump with a 1% difference.

The US Congress is made up of 100 senators and 435 house representatives. The members serve a two year time while the Senate can go up to a six-year term. The US Senate perform implied, and specific powers spelled out in the constitution. The enumerated powers cover Article 1, section 8 of the constitution. They include the right to collect taxes, regulate foreign and domestic commerce, the mandate to declare war and support the defense system. US Senate also plays a critical role in proposing constitutional amendments and enforce civil rights. Under the implied powers the Congress makes all laws. All proposals have to pass through the Senate before they become laws. The senators also have the power and mandate to enforce the policies already enacted (Box, Janet, Josh & Anand, 26).
The Congress is elected by people via political parties of their choice. Most times the Senate get swayed by the political party leaders hence going against their beliefs and their promises (Box e al, 33).
Responsibilities of Marco Rubio in Congress
After Marco reelection in 2016, he has come up with several legislation sponsored to benefit not only the Florida state but the entire USA. Some of the bills passed include Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act 2017, End Banking for Human Trafficking Act 2017, Health Care Choice Act of 2017, Caribbean Trade Extension Act of 2017 and Employee Rights Act. He has the responsibility of balancing the budgets as well as advocating for the amendments on the same. Marco is the leader of womens right in the Senate thus oversees equality of women and girl child across the world.
During the 115th Congress of the year 2017-2018, Rubio was assigned the committee on Intelligent, Committee on Appropriation, and Committee on Foreign Relations, Small Business Enterprise and the Committee on Aging. He is involved with overseen legislation and all issues relating small business enterprise in America. As the committee on intelligent, he oversees US intelligent community that issue information to leaders and the executive. He also helps in solving all the matters involving the relations between the US and other world nations. As the committee of appropriation, he oversees the expenditure of the federal treasury.

Politicians need money to run the campaigns across the various state which they cannot fully cater for by themselves. In the political world, money and power are closely related. The congress politics is very costly thus need a person with money or high support from the well-wishers. Most of the money comes from well-wishers depending on how powerful or influential a candidate is. During the 2016 election, Marco campaign team raised $25,254,738 and spent $21,836,840. The highest source of funds for his campaign was large individual contributors (5158%), small individual contributor (25.11%), PAC contributors 12.40% and other finance sources (10.91%). Marco did not spend his funds in the campaign. It shows how influential he is and people are willing to support his rise higher in politics.
Marco Rubio is also higher recognized not only in the USA but all over the world since he ran for 2016 presidential elections. He lost narrowly to Donald Trump under Republican Party election with a 1% margin.
In conclusion, Marco been one of the youngest senators in the USA has changed the face of Florida. His ideas and deeds run across the America and the entire world. Since he penetrated the world of politics, he has been successful and promoted severally to top most positions. His bid for the presidency made him famous and respected hence raising his influential rate to 51 indexes.
