Various models present their variables, standards, security, software, mobile compatibility, and network issues. But with the emergence of models that incorporate all the variable, it is becoming a system that works and proves to be reliable. With each metric proving to have its own system. Different mobile companies have a different metric value that they consider to be working for their own good and for enhancing their service delivery across the board. With a cutting edge over their competitors' mobile banking service providers have to make sure that they deliver the best in accordance with quality standards at the current market and the preferred communication rules and guidelines. The proposed governance model by Krishnamurti and Sellamuthus have among them 3 measurable metrics that can be measured as per the rule of communication authority. The three variable metrics are software metric, standard metric, and network metric.
Software metrics consist of 3 other measurables which are product metric, process metric, and project metric. Before software is complete there has to be some metrics that have gone in place to ensure that the end product is of quality and without hitches (Corral, Sillitti, & Succi, 2016). Product metric is the analysis of the function that the product will have to offer in the market. For this case, it is the mobile banking software. For it to be free of errors the software has to have an interface that portray the bank design, logos, and authenticity of the bank. The product here will be the banks in particular. Different banks offer different service and this platform of mobile banking will be the platform where the banks sell their products. So, the product metric will ensure that the bank products are measured and tested in the software to see if it will work accordingly.
The second one is the process procedure, here is where the product details are put in one a place and they start to arrange according to their preference. Preference is the key to developing a good mobile banking app (Mushi, Jafari, & Ennis,2018). Let's say a bank like Barclays which is among the banks that have adopted the use of mobile banking, the process of creating a similar product to them is the interface and the choice of what appears where and what follows what after. Many a time the process metrics takes time before the software is complete. With a duration of about 5-14 days, the process metric has to undergo serious scrutiny to ensure that everything is incorporated in it without leaving any minute detail out. With the process metric having to take lots of time to develop many argue that this stage is the crucial one in making sure that the end product is of quality and standardized. Most software developers take the opportunity of this stage to make sure that what they are creating is error free.
project metric is the final point where it will be a detailed characteristic of the project and the execution part. Here all the brains come together to ensure that the software developers created a unique structure that would stand the test of time altogether. Also, the staffing pattern whereby the patterns used to create the software will be analyzed, the life cycle of the software which the software will be undergoing from time to time. Routine check and maintenance coupled with the software upgrade are what this project metric is all about.
Data vendors create the standard metric to measure and report data of various companies through comparison of data usage. Data gained from various companies can help create a workflow that would be different from all other data represented (Du Chene et al.,2017). With a good system, the mobile banking platform would be beneficial to many. Standard metric also measures the standard as to which the data from the app will be performing and who will be responsible in case it fails to meet the required standard. Standards not only ensure that the stipulated functions go according to plan but they also measure according to the standards and regulations set by the communication agencies.
Network issues are measured in various metric i.e. router metric. Routers measure the speed of the network by having what we call the latency period, latency is the amount of time it takes data to travel from one place to another. Also, in the network metric, we have the network performance monitoring which helps to measure, optimize, and diagnose the quality of the network by users. A good network connection helps mobile banking easier and safe to use.
I have chosen the governance model due to the metrics above. The above measurable metrics have proven to be useful in the aid of the model. Compared to other models this is the outstanding one with a couple of useful metrics that employ quality and standard. Also, the use of metrics to determine the quality of a model is what distinguishes this model. Software developers have to make sure that what they create has undergone professional scrutiny and have been proven to work. The network is another issue that presents itself as a tactical one. Good network coverage is what makes this model be viable and that is why I proposed it. In my opinion, this model will work accordingly without any hitches and can be adopted.
