Global warming has been a concern for a very long time, and it has never crossed the minds of people that this was just all about politics and money until senator Inhofe idea which is like an eye opener (Mann et al. "Senator Inhofe On Climate Change."). Countries, nations, and people living in them only think of today, what they may go through as a result of global warming because that is what their government is telling them. They, therefore, forget the cost that comes with persistence on curbing global warming to the future of the nations and their economy (Mann et al. "Senator Inhofe On Climate Change."). In senator Inhofe argument, it is clear that the government and politicians are pushing the idea of eradicating global warming so that they gain sovereign among other nations and the few individuals within the government get to benefit from it financially.
I am neither a skeptic nor a believer in global warming. It is after I came across Senator Inhofes book The Greatest Hoax where I saw some sense in his argument that I chose to agree with him in the matter. Senator believes that if something has to really be eradicated it shouldnt come with a lot of cost and he confesses that at one point of his life he agreed on existence of global warmig but after looking at his cost he came to his conclusion. These are his words to Rachel Maddow I was actually on your side of this issue when I was chairing that committee and I first heard about this. I thought it must be true until I found out what it cost. Mann et al. "Senator Inhofe On Climate Change.").
Global warming might be bad but at the same time, the government needs to find a sustainable way to deal with it and not use it as a tool to make money while destroying the future of the nation (Mann et al. "Senator Inhofe On Climate Change."). I agree with the senators believes that global warming issue is a hoax and is grounded in todays life benefitting the government and some people thus forgetting the future of the united nations as well as its economy.
According to Senator James Inhofe, environmental regulation reminds him of Adolf Hitler. The senator says that what the country does not need is another Gestapo bureaucracy like in the EPA.
Inhofe says, It kind of reminds me.I could use the Third Reich, the Big Lie. You say something over and over again and people will believe it, and thats their strategy..A hot summer has nothing to do with global warming. Lets keep in mind it was just three weeks ago that people were saying, wait a minute; it unusually cool. (Mann et al. "Senator Inhofe on Climate Change.").
It is therefore upon human beings to accept their place and move on. Hot summers are said to be as a result of global warming, but winters are not. When such a thing is repeatedly said, people tend to believe it and become part of their life. The government uses that as a strategy to lure people into believing it but at the end, it is the same people who suffer.
America is one of the developed nations is highly regulated and highly taxed, and when regulations go sky-high, it results in the increase in the number of regulators as well. For a government to be called more significant, it must have higher budgets and higher taxes as well, and the US government is already in that state (Inhofe, "James Inhofe."). By adding up the global warming climate change issue, the government has its target which on the other hand affects the citizens now and will affect their future since it hugely increases the cost of living of everyone and impacts the business too.
Senator Inhofe calls the global warming issue a hoax since he believes it is meant to scare people and make them feel frightened all their life when it is not that big deal. I agree with him that it is all about money and he gives an example of the existence of weather channels (Inhofe, "James Inhofe."). For weather channels to exist, they just need something to talk about, and for them to be even interesting so that people will want to watch and listen to them every time, there must be some news circulating, and people need to be updated.
Global warming is the primary and main news these channels broadcast every day. The weather channels are rated depending on the number of viewers and so the owners who are probably the rich individual some even in the government work so hard to make the story interesting and scary at the same time (Lanham, "Inhofe's Greatest Climate Change Denial Hits."). By so doing they get many viewers, and therefore the channels get to be supported by the government to continue broadcasting. Senator Inhofe believes that when people here the other side of global warming or instead of the benefits of CO2, they wont be so much scared and everyone will live an affordable and a normal life now and even in the future.
Furthermore, the citizens need to be told something positive about the CO2 which is said to be the root of global warming. Senator Inhofe thought on this is agreeable since CO2 is not that bad as people tend to believe as it has so many benefits to human life (Little, "James Inhofe, SenateS Top Skeptic, Explains His Climate-Hoax Theory"). He said that CO2 could be beneficial to the environment and the economy and this is thinking selflessly and sustainably because when the economy is stabilized it means the future of the nation is as well stabilized and people will not lack and will not have many health issues in future.
Moreover, Senator Inhofe feels and believes that the global aspect makes the issue of global warming bigger (Lanham, "Inhofe's Greatest Climate Change Denial Hits."). He thinks that other people should see that too because if they do, they will think of the number of people that will be affected and suffer in the hands of a few individuals who only think of the present. Parents should think of their children and their grandchildrens future and the kind of life and world they will be exposed to (Lanham, "Inhofe's Greatest Climate Change Denial Hits."). The government and the nation should have a picture of how many people are going to be affected in case all nations governments will target the weak citizens and deceive them for a short lasting gain. Positivity and being concerned about tomorrow or the future will help people sustainably deal with the issue.
To conclude, I agree with Senator Inhofe arguments about global warming and how it has been used wrongly and selfishly by the government and some few people denying others quality life. Senator Inhofe speaks for the United Nations to measure their actions as they might have a long-term adverse effect on them economically in future. In my argument, if at all the government needs to save its country from effects of global warming; it should look for a sustainable and sincere way to do it without exploiting its citizens and their future. The high taxation issue to the government does not just affect the government but all the country because when the government is highly taxed, it means it will raise the cost of living of its citizens for it to raise the money.
The global warming and climate change result in high taxation and increased number of regulators to the government something that can be avoided, and its, therefore, the government call to stop using the idea to its short-term benefit that results in the future is jeopardized. The government should make its citizens and their lives a prime factor in its operations instead of threatening their survival. The senator refers to Richard Lindzen quote that states that controlling carbon is a bureaucrats dream since controlling carbon is like controlling life which isnt possible (Little, "James Inhofe, SenateS Top Skeptic, and Explains His Climate-Hoax Theory"). I, therefore, agree that global warming issue is a hoax focused on the present forgetting the future of the United Nations and its economy.
