An activity system is the collective effort of either people or objects that seeks to attain the objective of a task. The university, church and the schools form part of the activity systems I am aware of in the society. The university function by bringing scholars otherwise known as the students together to conduct research. The church bargains for the collective effort of people with the motive of imparting religious knowledge whereas the schools have the motive of enlightening the young the generation (Kain and Wardle). The objective of the activity in the church is religious uplifting. The activities carried out in the church are guided by the historical evidence of what has always been done since the inception of the church. The history of the mission of the church helps to describe aids to explain the history of the church. The tools such as the community, rules and the subject help to achieve the objective within the church. Foremost, the community defined the interest of the people who choose to fellowship together. Moreover, it helps to highlight the stake of everyone in the relationship. The rules identify the kind of behavioral can justified ethics and expected conduct within the church. The church is a place of worship and therefore need for the strict following of the rules at all the times. The rules help to focus on that which is a significant one. The action of the individual within the organization determines their strictness to the ideas of the group they exist in the society (Kain and Wardle).
The community has always been useful in helping the group in this assignment, the church not to achieve its goal. This has ever occurred in the situations whereby people who subscribe to particular religious belief fails to keep the standards of such a view. A good example is the case of weak dressing among the Christian ladies. This has been observed mainly in the cases where the women put on dresses that are too explosive. The message that is supposed to be passed by the church has always failed in these situations. The non-believers such questioning the existence3 of the rules posted by the church thus shaking the foundation that our fathers have struggled to achieve. It has always been gathered from this explanation that the behavior of the society is mainly defined by the defined by the religious teachings and all the members of a particular religion have the duty of making their religious belief look like it is the best through the firm faith in leading as an example. The activity theory and the threshold concept have a significant similarity in the way in which the rules operates. According to the threshold concept, new ideas emerge after the establishment of an idea that is already in existence. All the new plans will, therefore, be anchored upon the already existing ideas. This is somehow related to the activity in that the tool of rules defines what should and should not be done. The rest of the issues will be guided by these rules, and therefore the rules become one of the essential tools. The system activity is however very significant in any society since it comes handy in the situations whereby a good number of people are involved in trying to find answers to various issues in the community.
