The source of Tension between Poland and the European Union is constitutional reforms in Poland that undermine the rights of the citizens. One of the critical sections of the constitution of Poland and pains many citizens regards dimension of sexuality (Binnie, 2014). The government of Poland was seeking to ban abortion and to make the government take full control over the judiciary. The movement by the polish government reform the constitution violates the laws of the EU. The result of the move by the government of Poland was a threat on sanctions. EU threatens to sanction Poland for the act of violation of the law. The purpose of this easy is to analyze the case study involving the tension between EU and Poland.

The government of Poland violates the law of the EU and therefore breaks the corporation and result in conflicts. Corporation between countries that depend on each is essential for meaningful development. For many years, EU has been governing the activities of all the countries in Europe. The laws drafted by the representatives of the European Union were a symbol of agreement that promotes International Corporation. However, the decision of the government of Poland to reform the constitution without recognizing the power of the EU undermined the corporation as earlier agreed.

The absence of corporation results in conflicts. Poland is in conflict with EU because of violating the laws governing their relationship. Often, conflicts result from the difference in goals and interest. In this case, the goals of the government of Poland differ from that of EU. The government of Poland resolved to reform the constitutional because of their unique interests that contradict with the interest the EU. Since the ancient time, EU has been governing the activities of all the European countries following the constitution sign by the representative from different countries across Europe. The EU laws were to regulate the activities of individual countries to ensure that they fairly to their citizens. Breaking the agreement and making new laws that contradict the laws in the EU marked the start of the conflict. The conflict, in this case, involves EU and the government of Poland and therefore it is not very complicated as compared to a situation when more than one country is the participants.

The incompatibility of goals and interest between EU and Poland affect their relationship adversely. The political actors with unique political interest are responsible for the destruction of the relationship between EU and Poland. Ideally, political actors develop personalized political interest and pursue a unique goal that weakens the corporation. The threat to sanction Poland is a product of a broken relationship that requires attention from both parties. The role of political actors in a conflict is to manipulate the agreements thus resulting in adverse consequences.

EU and Poland differ in power and influence. In politics, the endowment of resources is the source of power. It is clear in the case study that EU has power offer Poland. For example, the government of Poland disobeyed EU laws and attracted sanctions. In this case, the EU has the power to coerce the government of Poland to observe the law and restore their corporation. Another source of power for EU is the financial and economic resources. EU compromises of representatives from the different countries in Europe. The countries in Europe contribute the resources to use in the management of the countries. For reasons, the EU has more resources than an individual country in Europe and EU has more powers than Poland. It has the ability to influence Poland to change the approach of the conflict using all means.

EU is independent because it has control offer means of communication and resource. For decades, important decisions regarding the member countries are best done by the EU officials. The finances and ownership of communication channels give provide EU with power and therefore can rebuke any action that compromises with an agreement in the memorandum of understanding.

The position of EU as an oversea of the different countries in Europe grand the union power to regulate the relationship with member countries. It is the position of the EU as the oversea of the European countries that make conflict reality. Power and influence have a close relationship. For example, a body with power influences the activities of the body that is less powerful. EU has power and therefore it has the capacity to administer discipline to the government of Poland trough sanctions as a consequent of violating the law.

The tension between Poland and EU can be analyzed in the terms of political context. The political context, in this case, refers to sounding factors in a political environment. The political context can mean the experiences, the expectations, and the difference in ideologies and perceptions from that of the partners. The source of tension between Poland and EU, in this case, can be taken to mean difference in ideologies. Poland adopted a new perspective of a matter affecting the citizens in the country. For example, the government of Poland resolved to reform the laws governing the abortion in the countries because of interests that EU did not understand. The response of the EU on the action of Poland resulted in conflicts of interest. Conflicts of goals and interest are also evident where the government of Poland decided to give powers to the government over the judiciary. In this case, there is an evidence of a difference in perspectives. The government of Poland did not see anything wrong with alterations of the laws to govern the people of Poland. However, the government of Poland did not realize that EU has a stake in the activities of the government and therefore there was a need for consultations before taking an action (Plomien, 2009). The results of the difference in perceptions are the conflict and threat of sanctions. The agreement between the European countries to have EU as the watchdog was one way of making the values and norms uniform in the country. The values in the European countries are universal and therefore any country that works contrary to the agreement trigger conflicts.

The tension in between the EU and the government of Poland can be explained in the perspective of the political community. There is a number of political communities that play important role in the moderation of conflict. For example, church, schools, hospitals, and firms that regulate conflict and corporation within the community (Trenz, & Triandafyllidou, 2017). The political community affects the outcomes of conflict and corporations. Political conflicts exist in the different political communities. The political communities have to agree on the way forward to influence the outcomes of the conflict.

Resolving the conflict involving the political communities involves revisiting the norms that had bound the relationship at the start. In the case of Poland and EU conflict, the resolutions involve reviewing the cause of the conflict and resolving the conflict in the light the initial agreement. The individual political communities observe their roles, rules, and norms to avoid conflicts. The agreement between the EU and the Poland is that there are no reforms in the constitution of the country without the interventions of the representatives from the Union. It is no possible for corporation between the EU and Poland to prevail without reviewing the initial agreement that governs their relationship.
