The ability to effectively foster and create relationships with the members of different cultures is commonly referred to as the cross-cultural communication. It is understood through the lens of other cultures beliefs, decision-making practices, values, perceptions, and social structures as well as the interaction of group members. The communication can either be in person, writing, non-verbal, or verbal.

The barriers to cross-cultural communication in Arab world involves cultural misunderstanding. For instance, in the western world, they tend to manage abuses of power with checks and balances, however, in the Arab culture they try to contrive it through subterfuge, alliances, and sabotage. Moreover, there is language barrier. This is attributed by the fact that Arabic is the primary language for instance, in Saudi Arabia. These barriers add more misunderstanding and confusion to the foreigners or other Non-Muslim communities visiting the Arab world.

The Differences between the Functions & Effects of Mass Media in the Arab Society

The modern mass media in the Arab world plays a central role in the political processes. This ranges from the coverage of political occasions and institutions which in return has a tremendous effect on the campaigns and the elections. Nonetheless, the information aired has influenced the public at an individual level since it offers several vital information, services, and the possibilities for self-knowledge and entertainment. The Arab world lives in a society that relies on the information and communication that keeps them moving in unison.

Notably, the government controls media in the Arab world, for instance in a state like Egypt, the government has taken ownership, funding, licensing regulations as well as appointments of key media personnel. Therefore, their roles are deeply based and strictly intertwined with local political, ideological interests economic, and the trending cultural norms, social fabric and religious beliefs making Egypt one of the most politically influential states.

Cyber culture is the set of social prospects, history, etiquette, and language used by a particular group of individuals active on the World Wide Web. The non-cyber world is separated into countries and cliques, similarly, the cyber world is divided into spheres and taxonomies. Therefore, the nations of the world are partially represented using the country domain in the cyberspace.

Notably, there is one shared issue with all the populated areas which is the exclusion process. It determines the modes of social structure, affirmation of values, and the production of normative standards. Social exclusion is believed to be the foremost contemporary type of oppression, misery, and social injustice. The cyber culture advocates for a radical renewal of society and generates more forms of exclusion and inclusion. These radical renewals include the social exclusion, social inclusion, and digital inclusion that will promote individual, community, and group interventions.

The Differences between Modernity and Postmodernity Concepts and Their Relation to the Arab Life

Modern and Post Modern are concepts that were used in the 20th century. Modern represents the period from the 1890s to 1945 while postmodern is understood as the era after the Second World War, particularly after 1968. A modern philosopher believes in learning from the older encounters while a post-modern thinker does not have such dogmas.

In Arab life, the Muslims were victims of colonization. In that, they lost control over politics, administration, and the economy. These events had a very profound effect on all Muslims during the modern era. However, according to the post-modernists in the Arab world, the difference from the modern to postmodern is that the colonies or institutions that used to be dominant during that era, they have less influence today. Muslims are now free to shape their identity, destiny, and traditions without any external interference.
