I. If I were to persuade you guys or one of the students about their opinion about marijuana. The response I expect to get is that it is bad for your health, it is a drug, a weed that change your brain.
II. Most of the people believe that marijuana only have negative effects because it is connected to drug that make people high. Honestly, many people do not know what marijuana is. Today I am present to advice you on the reason why negative perception that people have about marijuana should be abolished once and for all.

1. In the year 2006 total state extensive fatalities were five hundred and thirty-five and the casualties were caused by intake of marijuana of about 7.04%
2. In 2007 the total state fatalities were five hundred and fifty-four and it was caused by the same rate 7.04%.
3. In 2008 the total casualties were five hundred, and forty-eight and marijuana accounted for 7.85% of these deaths.
4. In 2009 total fatalities were four hundred and sixty-five and marijuana accounted for 10.10% of these deaths.
5. In 2010 four hundred and fifty deaths were observed and marijuana accounted for 10.89%
6. In 2011 four hundred and forty-seven deaths reported with marijuana accounting for 14.09%.

II. There are very many medical benefits of legalizing marijuana. Doctors feel that it can be used in helping patients with chronic pain and other health anomalies. They also think that it will help them reduce symptoms of cancer, epilepsy, and chronic disease for different patients. Local and state Government has different opinion. They believe that it will increase the tax revenues by increasing the number of taxpayers. They also assume that it will reduce the burden in prisons. The general public has a feeling that legalizing marijuana can open job opportunities to different people by allowing people to trade in medical marijuana freely.
III. Colorado is one of the states that have legalized medical marijuana. It has experienced both negative and positive effect of legalizing it. It led to death of some users and renders some youth useless members of the society. There were also some positive effect of legalizing marijuana in Colorado, it reduced crime rate, reduced prison congestion and others economic effects.
