Holocaust research is an academic discipline that incorporates the study of the holocaust and the historical research. Researchers of these studies tend to investigate the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary feature holocaust methodology, psychology and the history. The research also explores the memory, trauma, and experiences of the holocaust survivors. The researches on these help the learners gather full information about the societal values and civil rights and history from the first-hand source.

The first holocaust source is Gerald Reitlinger who wrote about the works of Second World War and the Nazi Germany. His writings ranged from 1900-1978. Most information concerning the history and political science together with actions of second war and Nazi Germany are found in these two sources. The second source is the worlds famous holocaust scholar Raul Hilberg who wrote about political science and history. His publishes were from the year 1926 to 2007.He said that his holocaust has the best documents and the most persuasive arguments, "These individuals are not familiar with the archives, or they would see that nobody could forge these millions of documents (Hilberg, 33). Most academic, scholarly works are derived from these sources.

First Source

Holocaust scholar Gerald Reitlinger is an art historian and author of numerous Nazi books before and after the end of Second World War. He used to serve in the British Army during the world war. Published the book The Final Solution in the year 1953.The book talks about the attempts by the Nazi- Germany to exterminate Jews from 1930 till the end of Second World War. It traces the beginning of holocaust and Nazi program from the beginning till the end. Vallentine Mitchell published the book in 1968. The second edition was revised and edited by Jason Aronson in 1987.

The book is divided into sections beginning with the introduction of the Anti-Jewish policy in 1939. Phase one of the book talks about the killing squad operation which emerged from the year 1941 when the Germany invaded the Soviet Union, the police, and SS. The second phase is the deportation to the killing centers by the Nazi groups. Raul covers every detail in a chronological order making it easier for the reader to follow the happenings. The explicit content of the book enables the researchers and emerging scholars to trace events. Much has been written about the Nazi in Germany, but most of the information is drawn from The Final Solution since Gerald is the original writer of that historical holocaust (Reitlinger, 21).

The most appropriate audiences for Geralds holocaust sources are the history students and the scholars or authors of historical books. The source is used by the student to gather primary information which has not been altered with. Students use the book as references for their research or academic works. On the other hand, scholars and authors of historical books derive their information from the source.

The holocaust source of Gerald is essential for the study of Nazi and other historical events that happened during the second world. The information is given by someone who took part in the Second World War thus he had the real picture of the event during the writing of the book. Most of the events and information signifies the actual happenings of that time not just imaginations. The images dawn the book illustrating the killing centers of Nazi signifies the reality of the event. The source acts as a guide to other historical writings (Reitlinger, 567).

Second Source

Raul Hilberg was Jewish-America historical and political scientists who existed from 1926-2007.He wrote three volume on the magnum opus, the destruction of European Jews and the Nazi Final Solution. Raul studied B.A in political science at Brooklyn. Before his demise, he was a professor of Holocaust studies and the president of US Holocaust Memorial Museum. Raul Hilberg wrote The Destruction of the European Jews in the year 1961. He revised it in 1985 in such a way that it appeared in a three-volume edition. The book is one of the detailed historical study of the holocaust. Yale University Press published the book in the year 1961. The second edition was published by Holmes& Meier in 1985 while the last edition was published by Yale University in 2003. The printed book has 1388 pages (Hilberg, 34).

The book is divided into chapters for each volume. Scene one looks at the precedents, chapter two the antecedents, chapter three the structure of destruction with the fourth section explaining definition by decree and chapter five based on exploration. Section six deals with concentration and lastly seven mobile killing operations. Volume two comprises of only one chapter on deportation while volume three has four chapters (Hilberg, 7).

The book has hilarious contents on the actual occurrence in the venue of destruction within and outside Germany. Information based on the religious beliefs of Christianity and Jews is outlined. The canonical and Nazi Anti-Jewish Measures shows all the factors that increased conflict and war among them been canonical law and Sao measurers. In chapter seven based on mobile killing operation, the Germany wanted to ultimately end the Jews through the final solution of the Jewish question (Hilberg, 87). All the strategies laid in the previous chapters are put into practice. Every section covers its topic and explores the matter in depth.

The best audience for this source are the scholars, college students, and the anthropologists. Scholars studies and uses this reference when writing about the destruction and cultures of the Jewish and Germany. University students use the source when carrying out their research papers. Raul Hilberg is a credible author of the book based on his education level and the field of specialization. The survey of holocaust gives full details on the history of the world, the organization of the war and the effect it had towards people (Pearce, Andy, and Arthur Chapman, 227). The study also gives numerous points of learning across various disciplines like religion, history, and language. The study challenges the understanding of students, authors and other learners on how events unfolded.

One of the challenges in the holocaust research is the high reliance on archives materials. The holocausts sources are scattered all over the world thus challenging to get the hard copies. Reliance on archival systems, rules and catalog system is stressing (Pearce et al., 32). The researcher needs to be very careful when dealing with perpetrators sources. The Jews organizations sometimes follow the evidence and destroy the case source. Lastly, there are few centers for holocausts researches where sources can be traced. Researching about the author helps the researcher to gather quality and credible information. Information concerning the author helps the researcher to identify the primary source which is free from biases.
