The age of network intelligence has a revolutionizing phenomenon that has been fuelled by the advancement of human communication, computing, and content (publishing and information providers) to create a multimedia that is interactive. The new age has changed how we all view the traditional definitions of everything, such a shift of social relationships holds promise and peril (Tapscott). This era of network intelligence has adversely affected on how much information is circulated in the media. Information explosion is the rapid heightening of how much information that is being distributed or published data and the effects of this abundance. As this data continues to grow, managing it is becoming difficult hence leading to info overload or some extent misinformation. More often than not media objectivity is lost when a lot of information is circulated on the internet such as social media much of the photos are usually manipulated with software's such as Photoshop or change with the intent of misinforming (Fuller, 2016).

The explosion of information sources has adversely affected the media a lot; the media has entered a cumbersome and tedious endeavor to locate the sources of information that will be able to stand the slightest scrutiny. As information technology increasingly expand, anyone can be a self-proclaimed expert in any field without necessary having qualified like having an education background on matters that they choose to discuss. This issue is further aggravated when the so-called experts' as given a platform to express their poorly authenticated opinions. However, from a broader perspective, the information explosion separates individuals from their own ideological and moral construction since there are so many competing ideas to choose from. The era of technological advancement has helped the flow of data; an individual can now isolate their traditional beliefs by viewing at what the rest of the world's way of thinking and moral principles differ from their own. People can access all sort of information and data based on what they must choose the possible truth individuals are bridged with the rest of the world and access of harmonized and unbiased information from all over the world. The disseminated significance of this enormous flow of information is that it prevents a single body from manipulating information to their selfish gain as the witness in the previous eras. On the contrary, the persons digesting this data are in danger of believing the wrong information if they are misinformed.

2. The web effect on news reporting is considered one of the most apparent evidence of the revolutionary technology. News editors and the government are no longer gatekeepers to data being released to the public since the cost of distribution has disappeared. The globe has converted the web as a go-to whenever they need information. The technology has also improved the processes of identifying newsworthy stories by getting the information from first-hand witnesses (Krotoski, 2011). Information technology has brought transparency in the government operations. Government scandals spread faster than they used and its expenditures are published in several websites on the web. Data being a powerful tool, hence the more information available influences political accountability, administration effectiveness and public service quality.

The overall information explosion has brought efficiency, transparency in organizations and governments. The government is responsible for ensuring that only accurate information is available for its citizens, ensuring that propaganda and other manipulated information do not reach the public domain. This strategy can be achieved by regulating the sources that spread the news in that particular country, such as holding people accountable for spreading force information.

Cultural borders have been redefined; as people are always questioning their severing bodies, as well as they are aesthetic believes in comparison to the rest of the world. Therefore a harmonized belief has been developed in which governments do not own absolute power over its citizens. This can be seen in the numerous civil rights protests around the globe that are regularly sharing their information via the web to ensure that their followers are up to date and help in the movements.

The government is insufficient to what they can do to limit the dispersion of information; however, they can educate their civilians on ways to filter out information, the public needs to be trained on the places where they can access validated information. The population needs to be highly skilled, well-trained professionals that disseminate accurate information to the public and follow up their data with adequate evidence. These professionals need to be aware that the information they are dispersing can change the news worldwide in a way that is unthinkable. They are reporting on a worldwide platform about local stories that are increasingly ignored by local news media, and thus single information can be circulated in the globe in seconds, and they need to be accountable for the information they spread.
