Impacts of Exponential Growth and Moore's Law

The first subject of this essay is the impacts of exponential growth and Moore's law. The population in developed countries first experienced a positive exponential growth before starting to decline. With the knowledge of this growth, it is possible for a government to plan its resources positively and also provide relevant advice to various organizations on the current predictions of the future. Some countries experience exponential growth even if their funds cannot cover the increased population. Such a government can, therefore, advice its citizens to work on family planning methods to control the population hence better growth of the country (Denning & Lewis, 2016). This growth has also occurred in the field of manufacture. For instance, Moore's law bases its arguments on the exponential growth of advancements in technology. A computer in the early days is very different from a computer of today due to increases in chips and other transistors responsible. Mobile phones with more advanced features are also an impact of Moore's law.

Impacts of Genetic Modification on Human Life

Genetic modification is also an effect of advanced technology and has various impacts on the population. Genetic modification has occurred in the field of medicine and even in the area of production. In medicine, application of various methods of gene therapy happens in investigating ways of curing diseases such as cancer that is affecting every population. Human Insulin is one of the successful gene modifications due to advancement in technology. Through this advancement in technology, it is now possible to produce plants that are resistant to diseases and thus more production without plants getting damaged by these conditions. Production of hybrid animals is also an impact of advancement in technology where these animals produce high-quality products in a more significant quantity. There is also the production of engineering food which grows faster thus serves a growing population hence reduces cases of starvation (Klumper & Qaim, 2014). Without genetic modification, it would not be possible to make these advancements in technology.

Impacts of Nanotechnology on Human Life

Nanotechnology has also had numerous impacts in positively and negatively. Through advanced technology, machines have evolved that can use atoms to make different types of products. Therefore, the impact of nanotechnology is the production of disinfectants, clothing, cosmetics and even materials such as golf balls that all use nanoparticles. Other implications of this technology are the production of cheaper and pocket-friendly materials that favor every person. For instance, vehicles made of nanoparticles are under wide use because they are less expensive hence favor every citizen in America. (Hussein, 2015). However, nanotechnology is also thought to have adverse effects on a population. These machinery made of nanoparticles are considered to produce fumes that if inhaled may cause health complications to people. Additionally, it may harm the environment in case waste materials finds its way in places invested with useful bacteria such as those responsible for decomposition since it may destroy them.

Impacts of Singularity and Trans humanism in Human Life

Singularity movement and Trans humanism have changed the face of technology considerably. Since the ideas of developing super intelligence and also superior forms of human beings began in the early days, technology has taken a new form. Scientists are working on machinery that can operate with the mind of a human being as a way of increasing production. This knowledge has significantly impacted on technology since more scientists are focusing their resources on singularity movement. For instance, the introduction of robots into the world of technology. These robots are operating in fields such as aeronautics and space movements where they are used to send messages back to earth from other planets. The production uses robots that are applied instead of human beings as a way of reducing the cost of production. More studies are ongoing to produce robots that have a significant advancement in their operations where they can think on their own through complex programming.

The Effect of Economic Conditions on Advancement of Technology and Regulations to be observed

Due to this advancement in technology, it is essential to focus on what is acceptable to the human population and what is not allowed. These improvements on the human genome face an ethical challenge where they are termed as not moral since they go against human and religious beliefs. For instance, there are studies underway to enhance production of the population that is free from any diseases. We can call it a superior human being that with reproduction will produce a disease-free society. With these studies, some scientists may decide to start cloning again which would is unethical since it would be creating new beings which are a duty purposely for God. Some scientists may also take advantage of these studies to produce superior humans who have higher military abilities. Economic conditions may also affect how this modification is applied. For instance, such gene modification would prove to be very expensive thus only available for wealthy families. This economic state would mean that the poor would remain with their genetic problems whereas the rich will have an advanced genome.

The Good and the Bad Impact of Technology according to KurzweilAccording to Kurzweil, he believes that the issue of advancement in technology will affect the way a human being interacts with the various issues affecting them. These changes as predicted by Moores law have both positive and negative impacts. The United States researchers are still investigating for new ways of curing various diseases they affect them. For instance, through these new technological moves, it is will be possible to change the genomic composition of a human body soas to change diseases such as cancer so as to create disease-free human beings. However, there are also negative impacts of these changes (Kurzweil, 2004). He believes that human beings may use these advances in the wrong way such as creating harmful viruses to cause harm to people which can imply terrorism through technology. Due to the predictions according to Kurzweil, many advances will be observed in future. Personally, I would be willing to use neural implants to help my intelligence skills rise. With increased brain advancement, it is possible to develop more software and equipment.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it is clear that technology has taken a new shape in the current states. This technological advancement is through the development of nanotechnology, genetic modifications, and Trans humanism that all improve the state of life. These technical aspects have significantly impacted the lives of human beings both positively and negatively as described in the essay. With this kind of impact, it is therefore essential that measures are taken to ensure that these advancements do not affect the human life or lose the meaning of what it is like to be a human. If this progress was to occur, it should be made available for every human being no matter their economic state.
