Cloning is one of the fascinating topics of discussion in the world today. It is the process of producing similar populations that are genetically identical. Clones can happen naturally or by artificial means by being made in the labs. Cloning can occur when organisms such as bacteria, animals, and plants create offsprings that are genetically identical to the parent. Cloning experiments have it that the epigenetic information is what makes cloning to be possible. This paper will focus on the arguments that cloning is not playing God and that cloning may be of great benefit to our society today.

Cloning may not necessarily be playing God. For instance, human cloning may look like playing with Gods creation. However, God is of perfection that no human being can compare themselves to Him. Lately, because scientists do not necessarily share the biblical views of the omniscient, omnipotent and a perfect God they are carrying on a variety of experiments in the laboratories with embryos to come up with their desired results against the wish of Gods plan of creation. The process of playing with embryos is not playing God. In the medical field, cloning has been used to find out on the genes that cause diseases; this process helps identify cure to some diseases that would eliminate Gods creation. Organisms that may have difficulties in breeding normally can be reproduced quickly by use of cloning. With the kind of help, cloning is providing to the society today it would be difficult to argue that its playing God.

With cloning on the outlook for human beings; It has become an area of concern that when a man plays God, he tends to act like a beast than a person that God created in His image. Human beings attention is slowly being diverted to science not forgetting that the world and its creations were done by the Omnipotent God. Cloning is purely editing of genes which may be appealing to many as of now. Many scientists are using cloning to try and find the cure for cancer and Aids. With the determination to find these cures Gods creation is being saved, and thus not playing God. Cloning whether human or animal cloning may be seen as overstepping the bounds of natural order but that is not the case due to the benefits it has to its disadvantages.

When cloning is done ethically and when its only the available option to help save a life cannot be counted as a way of playing God. Christian doctrines support it that cloning can be done to help treat the disease as well as improve public health. It is Gods wish that the human race lives happily to support and sustain his creation.

Some plant varieties do not produce seeds, while others are dormant for long periods, but with the help of cloning these plants reproductive system can be quickened to help them from becoming extinct. (Lanza &Robert P, 2000) This in itself will be sustaining the creation of God rather than playing Him. Cloning may be helpful in the mass production of human food that comes from the plant. It is the food that will help human beings from hunger and death that may come as result of not having food. It is therefore evident that cloning plays a critical role in the continuation of the creation of God.

Cloning is capable of enhancing mans quality of life; it also helps us understand Gods creation. Cloning is not playing God; it rather answers to God creation to ensure continuity. The desire for God is for every life to be distinct with its uniqueness according to His plan and purpose.
