In this quest for fitness, I will apply my professionalism in assisting the client to achieve her personal goals and objectives. I must say that the training programme will be quite strenuous, and thus the client must have unswerving motivation. This training program will focus on the most critical aspects that will help the client achieve her desired health status. It will run for 12 weeks after which the client will be evaluated to ensure the fitness program will be useful. In the course of the training, the client will be insured. It means that we will cover the clients medical bills in case any form of injury occurs to her in the course of the training program. It is worth noting that this 12-week training program has been proven to be safe based on our previous clients who had similar conditions as those of the client. I would also like to ensure the client that she is in safe hands and that she will be satisfied with the program we will instruct her with.
The client, Jamie Summers, is 53 years of age and was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. This condition might be linked to Jamies high levels of stress and the consequent physical inactivity. Following the doctors guidelines, she was advised to start working out, eating healthy, and take care of herself in general. By doing so, she will avoid additional health problems shortly. To achieve her goal of having a relatively good progress health-wise before her daughters graduation, Jamie must follow the stipulated training program. It is an easy-to-follow program, and she, therefore, would not have any challenges.
Jamie will be initiated on a 12-week training program that entails regular aerobics and exercises for strengthening her muscles. Prior the beginning of training, Jamie was assessed based on her age, body weight, height, and thus determining her Body Mass Index (BMI). It is an important step as it gives the trainee a better insight on what kind of program suits her best. Similarly, Jamie was interviewed whereby she had the opportunity to express how she really felt and also what she felt concerning the program. Hypertension is a condition that can be managed if patients follow the dietary and physical activities as advised (Hagberg, 1983). However, after the completion of the 12-week program, Jamie is recommended to visit a medical practitioner for further assessment. The training program is as follows:
1.Aerobic Exercise
First, the client warms up for five to ten minutes. It is the initial step of the program as it promotes the dynamic stretch of the whole body to fasten her heart rate. Secondly, Jamie will walk or jog on a treadmill for twenty minutes. Thirdly, she is allowed to cool for five minutes to slowly reduce the high heart rate but still be in a position to keep her muscles moving. Fourth, she will stretch for approximately ten minutes.
2.Resistance training
Jamie will then embark on resistance training whereby there will be at least a ten-minute rest in between the exercises. It should be done on a daily basis, most preferably in the mornings.
3.Proper diet
For Jamies case, she should focus on foods with less cholesterol and fats. High blood pressure describes blood vessels that are blocked mostly by fats. By watching her food for the 12-week period, she will achieve her health goals. In most cases, patients with such a condition are advised to eat whole meal foods that are grains and fruits. In addition, she should avoid excessive proteins in her diets and also take lots and lots of water.
In conclusion, this program is most suitable for Jamie, mainly because she is relatively old. Most of the activities in the program are favourable to her, and would significantly assist her in managing hypertension. This program will help maintain this condition, and similarly, help her to attend her daughters graduation comfortably.
