As a Hispanic girl living in Dallas, I find it encouraging knowing that culture is taken as a heritage in this district. The people here are multicultural. There are large percentages of Latinos and many other cultures. Nonetheless, Hispanic culture has taken roots among the people. The representation of the cultural differences is specifically a national representation. Hispanics, thus, have their protection in terms of culture growth and development. My culture is gradually established. It has created a frame of representation in that the existing Hispanics are able to propagate their cultural characteristics among the Hispanics and the non-Hispanics. In the Texas Senate, the representation of district 24 by Kenny Merchant takes into consideration the requirements needed for diverse cultural existence to be protected at all times. Merchant runs one of the districts in Texas that is multicultural in almost every way of life. Different cultures exist in this place, including Hispanics, Latinos, African Americans, Asian Americans, among others.

Merchant is a Native American. His culture, nonetheless, is a collection of many cultures that represent the bigger America. His culture is different from that of Hispanics and other cultural distinctions in Dallas. Nonetheless, merchant represents one of the vibrant cultures in the district. The district is home to many cultures. Nonetheless, Merchant has been able to establish a sense of respect and growth for the different cultures, with almost all of them forming a unified Dallas culture (Rohde and Debra 32-45).

I am a Hispanic and live a Hispanic lifestyle. I represent the Spanish culture in Dallas. Likewise, Merchant is a Native America. He represents the American culture, which is not only his culture but also an inclusive culture of the people. Merchant is holistic in his approach to managing different cultures. His intention is to establish a situation of one cultural blanket that protects the interests of the different cultures, but also establishes a common phase of culture in Dallas (Rohde and Debra 32-45).

My culture is Spanish. The culture of the place I live is diverse. Many other cultures are diverse and vibrant including Latinos, African Americas, Asian Americans, among others. All these groups represent different subcultures, all of which represent the bigger culture of the United States of America. The cultures are diverse but respect one another. They are integrated. A district is a place of many cultures. These cultures live together but exist in their individual structures as distinct cultures. For instance, the Hispanic culture exists as Hispanic. The greatest difference between these cultures is based on the human lifestyle. The etiquette of the people from the different cultures varies. The lifestyles like food, the language of communication, dressing, among others, all vary from the different cultures. The perception and understanding of different structures of human life also vary. For instance, as a Hispanic, I love certain foods, something that is not offered in most Dallas food stores. The language, understanding of the social structures and functions, and the ultimate home setting and interaction, all form the critical elements that bring about the greatest differences between the many cultures in Dallas.

The differences in cultures bring about diversity, uniqueness, and growth of the individual differences between a unified whole. The differences bring about learning and understanding of the different cultures from among people. People learn a lot and get to understand and know the world better when they are subjected to environments with many cultures. Nonetheless, the differences in the cultures also bring about some disadvantages. With time, people begin to lose their grip on the strengths of their cultures as they become multicultural. With time, different cultures lose their immediate effects on the people. The typicality of Spanish culture can only be available in Spain. In order to bridge such cultures, individual understanding of them has to be stressed. The cultures have to be brought to the people on a larger perspective so that they learn and understand the same.

The authorization of marijuana has been a trending issue in the United States of America for some time now. Merchant has been vocal on the use of marijuana together with its trading. He is not for the state authorization of the use of marijuana. He is against this because it will simply come to destroy the sanctity of the society and its structure. Merchant is aware of the intentions of state authority in authorizing marijuana. For me, am against legalization of marijuana. The drug should be used under guided protocols. The alternative here is to use the drug as in hospitals alone and not free in the society (Blandford 25-65). A few of my friends who like to use marijuana will object my decision. I am correct because the negatives brought about by this drug supersede its benefits if given to the people. With Merchant being involved, I think every individual in the society needs to be involved. As a community, every member needs to understand the specific dangers of marijuana use apart from the pleasure involved. The community is the consumer and the likely body in danger hence it is important to involve it (Blandford 25-65).

In the case that my policy succeeds, the policy will face a stiff challenge to convince those who were against it. The community will be divided for some time on the policy, something that might disrupt its stability. The state will be enlightened on the issue of marijuana. Marijuana use will drop and finally be eliminated. Those using it will have their devastation. Over a short time, there will be likely rebellion on the same. On the positive, the society will be protected from the dangers of this substance, especially among the young (Reese and Raymond 53).
