Art is a varied range of human activities in auditory, creating visual, expressing the authors technical skills or imaginative with a sole intention of appreciation of the emotional power and thus, it is a part of human life. Furthermore, art defines peoples way of life; different ethnic groups involve themselves in one genre of art or another, for instance, curving, sculpturing, music, and even the language. Therefore, many famous individuals have formulated quotes about arts to express their approach, evaluation, attitude, and interaction with art. The following quotes illustrate and represent my approach, attitude, evaluation, and interaction with art.
Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth--Pablo Picasso
I chose this quote because I consider art as a sensitive thing and an expression of the human talent mostly in a visual manner. Because art expresses human creative talent, it has a relation to something having an inside meaning or value. I also chose it as I regard art as something that is close to innovation and creativity. Through art, human beings get the chance of expressing their emotions, feelings, and creative talent. Different people with different abilities come and go events come and go, but the genre of painting overrules this notion. A portrait made out of the painting is a life history record database.
Art is a self-enlightenment of real things around the globe. Pablos quote also us realize the truth quote has an implicit meaning. Art is a lie is related to the art itself imitating the real things in the world such as Rodins artwork of the Thinker. It is a contemplative figure where the person finds himself in deep concentration and thought (Neret 35). The sculpture is an imitation of s how people behave when they are thinking in the real world. Although the sculpture is a lie, it represents what usually happens in the real world situations. Furthermore, even though the sculpture is a lie it captures the human emotions of human beings in real world situations. The contemplative look on this sculpture also gives it a feeling of calm even though the piece is by no means a relaxed piece (Neret 36). Therefore, sculptures makes people realize the truth concerning the things happening currently because they might have happened in in the past.
Art can also be regarded as an imitation. Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth can be evident from one of Pablos artwork referred to as Guernica. The painting portrays a tangle of six human figures including a man, four women, and a child. The other items contained in the painting are a bull and a horse. The artwork by Pablo shows the physical and emotional aftermath of violence and war (Jones 160). Therefore, although the work of art is a lie, it portrays the truth of what happened during the period of war. The artwork represents the expressions of the women, mental anguish, and suffering physical agony. People undergo these things during and after the war in the real world. During the war, people are also usually desperate, and this can be seen through the sorrow in their tear-shaped eyes and the desperation that exists through their sharp tongues.
The painting of Gustav Klimt's The Kiss expresses the sensational influence of art since it had an enormous impact on the Renaissance and brought revolutionary to the contemporary portrait painting. It represents astonishing implications in that we consider art as a lie, but it is a reflection of things happening in real world. This artwork presents a traditional romantic love. The male figure in the painting seems to be protective and nurturing to the woman. Additionally, the female figure has a soft feminist of a traditional woman also appears to have a significant contribution to the relationship and the painting (Husslein-Arco 69). The painting conveys embrace of lovers, romantic theme, and color and shape detail. The colors used in this painting are not the traditional colors that represent love. Red, pink, purple are replaced with brown, green, and gold. In some parts, a painter has to put paint to make the individuals looking at the art realize that the love is related to gold, in that, it is worthy The point of all these things is the truth which the painter want to tell individuals. In some cases, people are not sensitive to love, and the painter ensures that they realize by applying color in painting.
In conclusion, art is essential as it makes us realize things to the real world. Pablo Picasso quote Art is a lie that makes us realize the truth is a good reflection on my view towards art. The three artworks including, the thinker, the kiss, and Guernica show the real things that usually happen in the real world. The paintings and sculpture are a reflection of the things that are happening like the Guernica shows the things that usually occur during and after the war. Therefore, I consider art as an imitation.
